This isn't actually as much of a meta post as that sounds. I saw Green Lantern recently, later than the rest of the world that was interested in seeing it, and it's nowhere near as bad as the critical consensus would imply. Guys I miss when American Idol made me happy and not awkward. Although perhaps I am misremembering S7 (my first season) as a golden age because it had kissing and only slightly awkward hetero-reassertion as opposed to actively backing away hetero-reassertion which fools no one.
